Basic Recipe

1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk
2 heaping teaspoons of protein powder–can be whey from organic, grass fed cows or other non-antigenic proteins such as rice, pea, hemp
1 table liquid sunflower lecithin (helps emulsify the fats for easier digestion)
2 tablesppons medium chain triglycerides oil
1 teaspoon liquid fish oil supplying 1600 mg of EPA and 1100 mg of DHA (reduce dose if platelets are <100 thousand, taking blood thinners or with diarrhea) 1 tablesppon L-carnitine liquid supplying 3 grams (essential for metabolism of fats, boosts energy) 1-2 tablesppons freshly ground flaxseed meal or 2 tablespoons ground chia seed meal or pectin (these are sources of soluble fiber, if needed) Probiotic supplying 50-100 billion CFUs of lactobacillus and bifidobacterial species. Do not use if the ANC (neutrophil count) is less than 1,000 Flavor Variations For nausea and vomiting: Lemon-Ginger: two teaspoons lemon juice, 1/4 tsp zest of organic lemon or tangerine, 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger root For tropical vacation imagery: Tropical paradise: Add 1/2 cup pineapple or papaya and 1 tablespoon lime juice For Thanksgiving and the fall holidays: Apple spice: 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger and 1/4 tsp nutmeg Pumpkin Spice: Add 1/4 cup canned pumpkin, 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
